The Technique
Our invention and technique ORO PURO® has been recognized by UIBM (Italian Patent and Trademark Office) as an industrial invention and unique design innovation in Italy and in the world.
The technique used at first on the leather (in 2009) and subsequently extended on the fabrics in 2012.
Although it is customary to embellish clothing, furniture and fashion items with precious stones, industrial prints in gold or other metals as medals or gold rivets, the main objective of ORO PURO® is to offer an author’s signature in gold, eternal, precious and handcrafted!
In the processing of our artistic decorations, the only tools used are the hands and for this reason, we are not talking about industrialized decorations.
Through ORO PURO® technique it is possible to customize furnishing and fashion items to create exclusive collections with drawings, coats of arms and logos.
Application Supports:
Specifically, it is possible to apply our technique on light and heavy clothes as well as the leather, following the way of the old gilding masters of ‘800.
The only ‘tools’ used in the processing of artistic decorations are the hands. The main objective of ORO PURO® is to offer an author’s signature in gold, eternal, precious and handcrafted!
Technical Specifications:
Originally the leaves of pure gold and other precious metals are obtained with a traditional method of thinning the metal. The application consists in laying more layers of gold leaf (or other precious metals) through the “peeling” technique. We use the badger bristle comb to lift the real gold leaf, dust and adhere the different layers applied to the support used (see application supports).
- The decorations are permanent and they are made to measure according to customer wishes.
- The thickness of the application of precious metals starts from a minimum of 20 to a maximum of 50 microns.
- Even if the product is wrinkled it is impossible to ruin the decoration because it is protected by polymer filters.
Maintenance:
- It is to be preferred to wash in water especially for light fabrics (such as silk, cotton and linen) or dry.
- Dry cleaning is ideal for heavier fabrics (such as velvet and leather). it is also possible to wash in short cold cycles, up to 30 grad.
- Ironing: inside out.
- For a correct maintenance on furnishing complements it is preferable to dust the decoration with a badger bristle comb.
